Making a Decorative Porthole

I am decorating the spare room into a pirate ship theme. I wanted a porthole but they were a little spendy online so I made my own version.

I took apart a clock and painted the frame by mixing black, gold, copper and silver paint to give it an old brass look.

Then I had my bf add a hinge.

I printed out a seascape but the paper wasn’t big enough to cover the inner circle of the clock so I painted the cardboard to blend in. You can notice if you really look for it.

I put the pieces back together and hung it on the wall.

It wasn’t my best work but it will do for now.
